Two weeks had gone by since I had hung out with my friends and I missed them. Both were safely on their summer vacations. I had gotten a letter from Riana and a message on the answering machine from Layah. They both said that they were doing really good and missed me. My friends were missed in return.

My summer was not as boring as I thought it would be. I was helping my mother. I was sort of her assistant three days a week. The other two days a week were spent in NYSP, a National Youth Sports Program, at Virginia State. It was so fun because I worked with college cheerleaders.

Half of the morning we would work on educational stuff, preparing us for the upcoming school year, and the other half was recreation. I learned some of the coolest moves. Hanging out with the big girls was fun.
